This weekend, the first live show will be 
aired and the judges, Ofie Kodjoe, Bessa Simons and Hammer are leaving 
no stone unturned to bring out the best in these wannabes.
Comprising nine gentlemen and three ladies, 
the contestants were carefully chosen by judges from over 2,000 people 
who showed up from all over the country to try their chances at this 
prestigious competition.
Below are the 12 contestants.
Samson Bannar
Samson Bannar, also known as Samson B hails 
from Takpo Penentobo in the Nadowli District of the Upper West Region.  
 Born on the 28th February, 1987, Samson B is currently a student at 
Valley View University studying education.
He recorded his first song in 2007 and draws 
his motivation for music from the environment and nature. “Big ups and 
thanks to MTN Hitmaker 3 for giving me this lovely opportunity to unveil
 my talent to the world,” he said.
Isaac Manob and Prince Kwaku Opoku Gyamfi (INK)
Ink is a highlife duo made up of Isaac Manob 
and Prince Kwaku Opoku Gyamfi . They both live in Kumasi. Though both 
have been singing since childhood, Ink started professionally in 2009 
and has never looked back since.
Ink has been to many musical contests and has
 left an indelible mark on their fans; this they say will shoot them to 
the top in the Hitzmaker 3 competition.
Emmanuel Ankrah
Emmanuel Ankrah, aka Mac- M, believes the 
Hitzmaker 3 platform will enable him to prove a point to people who once 
had doubts about what he had to offer as far as rap music was concerned.
The 20 year old rapper says harsh life 
experiences have given him the strength to keep up, show up and deliver 
to the best of his ability.
Angela Letsu (Anji)
Anji hopes to become one of the finest gospel
 musicians in the country and the world at large. She draws inspiration 
from God and the Bible.
Born on 8th July, 1991, she believes she has a strong voice to wow the judges and keep through till she wins the GH¢100,000 grand prize.
Isaac Sackey (Papa)
Isaac Sackey, known by his peers as Swampo and also known as Papa on the MTN Hitzmaker 3 stage, says he gets his motivation from hi-life musicians like Paapa Yankson, Kofi B and Kwabena Kwabena.
Papa works as an accountant at the accounts 
department of the Central Regional Hospital. Papa feels strongly that 
the passion he has for the kind of music he does is good enough to keep 
his fans entertained each week.
Onyamepe Opoku Agyemang (Naba)
Onyamepe Opoku Agyemang known on Hiztmaker 3 
show as Naba says music is the best thing that has ever happened to her 
and hopes to use the platform to make her family proud.
She believes music is a powerful tool to 
unite people and through her lyrics backed by her great voice she can 
attain that objective.
Wilhemina Naa-Koowa Quaye (Mina)
Mina discovered her singing ability in the 
church and has been singing since age five. Her motivation comes from 
God and believes this edition of the MTN Hitzmaker 3 is destined to be 
won by a gospel singer and it’s no other than her.
Richie Tay
Richie loves Naija music, blues, jazz, RnB, 
pop, rock, garage music, rap, hi-life and hip life. The 24 year old 
singer believes he is talented enough to perform all these genres of 
music without any hitches, a trick he says will work the magic in 
becoming the next MTN Hitzmaker.
Vincent Torgbe (Torgbui)
Vincent is a technician and an electrician 
who works with the Electricity Company of Ghana. Born and bred in Liatsi
 Hohoe in the Volta Region he is inspired to change the face of Ewe 
music through his rap lines. According to Vincent he is bringing on 
board a whole new level to the competition.
Raynolds Boateng (Snow B)
Snow B says Samini inspires him a lot. He started writing lyrics when he was in junior high school.
Snow B says he is going to blow people’s 
minds with his music and art on stage and that Ghana should watch out 
for him. He is very excited and can’t wait to perform his first song.
Peter Famiyeh (Famiyeh)
Fameye says the MTN Hitzmaker 3 is the biggest
 stage ever for an up and coming artiste like himself and hopes to utilize the opportunity given him to exhibit his music brand as a 
package to Ghana and beyond. He can’t wait to perform on stage and do 
what he knows how to do best.
Yussif Muhammed (Leety)
Leety resides at Nima. He calls his kind of 
music as “RnB Afro Highlife”. As a song writer, a singer and a producer,
 Leety has been singing for about seven years now. ‘’My motivation comes
 from my uncle, who has always been there to share with me his knowledge
 about life and how to live it,’’ he said.
Viewers can judge for themselves when they 
hit the stage this weekend. The stations on which MTN Hitzmaker 3 shows 
include TV3, eTV, GhOne and 4Syte TV, Metro TV, Multi TV on the Cine 
Afrik.
Previous winners of the MTN Hitzmaker television reality show are Naterial and Koo Ntakra.
